For
38 years my parents have owned and operated
the largest court reporting firm in NJ. After
graduating from college, I attended court reporting
school and subsequently worked as a court reporter
in NY and NJ for six years. Because of my hands-on
experience in the field, I was able to quickly
comprehend and appreciate the potential benefits
of technological advances in litigation support.
Through my work as a court reporter in general,
and with Realtime and Livenote transcription
in particular, it became obvious to me that
the days of having a client wait up to twenty
days for a single transcript were nearing an
end.
Immediately
upon becoming a senior partner at my parents
firm in 1998, I had all Rosenberg & Associates
offices networked to improve communications
from within. Making my own staff comfortable
with the new innovations seemed like the first
logical step in implementing changes. As a direct
result of incorporating the Microsoft Exchange
network in the office, my clients were suddenly
able to reap the benefits of electronically
delivered transcripts. Once we opened the door
to state-of-the-art transcript delivery, it
was easier to introduce our clients to additional
advanced litigation support services. Through
providing training and on-going tech support
to our clients, we foster trust during an attorney's
transition from traditional court reporting
and after successfully helping each of our clients
cross the technological threshold, we can then
introduce them to all of the new, hi-tech, case-winning
possibilities available from discovery through
trial.
Seeing
the introduction of technologically-based services
in the field as an on-going process is one of
the ways our firm instills client confidence
in the new technology. At Rosenberg & Associates
we believe strongly that this humanitarian approach
to the future of court reporting is one of the
secrets of our success.
